NW England Weather Forecast

This forecast is updated daily from 06:00 using the very latest data and observations..

Hot inland, fresher by the coast, mostly dry

Tuesday will be very warm or hot across much of North West England, especially inland across Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire. There will be sunny spells, although cloud will be more extensive at times across Cumbria and the Pennines.

Most places stay dry, but a few light showers or spots of drizzle are possible around the Cumbrian fells and eastern hills during the morning and afternoon. Any showers should be isolated and many areas will miss them.

Temperatures will reach 29C to 32C inland across Greater Manchester and Cheshire, with 26C to 30C more widely across Lancashire and Merseyside. Cumbria will range from 24C to 28C inland, but only 18C to 23C near some Irish Sea coasts.

Winds will be light, with a fresher sea breeze developing around the coast. The evening and night look largely dry with variable cloud.
